John Henry Eldred Jr. Foundation to Accept Spring Grant Applications Starting January 31
TOLEDO, Ohio — January 27, 2025 — The John Henry Eldred Jr. Foundation is pleased to announce that applications for its Spring Grant Cycle will open on January 31, 2025. This opportunity allows 501(c)(3) organizations in Northwest Ohio to apply for grants of up to $30,000 to support initiatives in housing stability, food security, and youth education.
Last spring, the Foundation awarded $1.3 million in grants to 62 nonprofit organizations across the region. These grants empowered nonprofits like Connecting Kids to Meals, Cherry Street Mission Ministries, the Ottawa County Family Advocacy Center, Partners in Education, and The Open Door of Delta to strengthen families and communities through impactful projects.
“We were thrilled by the incredible impact our grants made last year,” said Mike Deetsch, executive director of the John Henry Eldred Jr. Foundation. “This year, we are even more excited to build on that momentum and make an even bigger difference in the lives of individuals and families in our community. We look forward to partnering with more nonprofits and expanding our reach into rural communities this year.”
The Spring Grant Cycle is open to 501(c)(3) organizations in Northwest Ohio dedicated to advancing housing stability, food security, and youth education. Grants may be used for a variety of purposes, including:
