The Blade: Toledo organization provides $1.3 million in grants to 62 nonprofits

TOLEDO, Ohio — Sixty-two nonprofits across Northwest Ohio have received $1.3 million in grants to continue providing their services.

The Toledo-based nonprofit John Henry Eldred Jr. Foundation donated the funds to the nonprofits, which include Islamic Food Bank, Grace Community Center, and Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity in the Greater Toledo Area, to help cultivate food security, home security, and youth education throughout the region.

“We are honored to support the incredible work being done by these organizations,” said Mike Deetsch, executive director of the John Henry Eldred Jr. Foundation. “Their commitment to enhancing the well-being of our communities is truly inspiring, and we are grateful to play a part in helping them achieve their goals.”
